It is currently unknown whether this is a bug or intentional. The only exception currently is level 99 which requires 9999999 EXP. The pattern for the required EXP to level up is the triangular number sequence (minus n, to compensate for the starting level) multiplied by 1000. The amount of additional experience, which is required for the next level, raises with every earned level by 1000 EXP. Every time the characters level up, the percentage is reset to 0%. In the game screen, the percentage value next to the EXP amount refers to the percentage of experience gained for the next level. The Iron Medal compo item increases the amount of EXP gained from enemies by 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 75% or 100% in levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 respectively. This has been introduced in ver3.9 to prevent manipulation of the game for the VS Mode. If the team is 10 levels above the strongest enemy in the unlocked stages, no experience is gained, not even the 1 EXP. Characters will usually get more EXP from a unit at a later stage or from a boss as compared to other units. It is scaled so that killing an enemy while being of a level too high or too low will yield less EXP, though characters will always gain at least 1 EXP for any enemy killed.

The relation is displayed in the table 'experience gain from enemy'. The amount of EXP the characters will get depends on the enemy killed as well as the level. When an enemy in Stick Ranger is killed, some EXP is gained. The upper section serves as a connection between Cave 1 and Cave 3, while the lower section is only enterable through cave 3. Every time the team level up, each of the characters get 2 SP, which help to improve the character. EXP or experience is a stat in Stick Ranger.ĮXP is gained by killing enemies, and is required in order to gain levels.
